Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Broiler Hyplus rabbits, 33 days of age at the beginning of the experiment, were divided into 4 groups, 26 rabbits each. In treated groups, feed ofrabbits was supplemented by CuSO4 . 5H2O at 50 and 150 mg Cu/kg. In one ofthe treated groups, rabbits received also vitamin E at 100 mg/kg. Weight gains in treated groups were non-significantly higher than in the control group. No effect of aditives on feed conversion, mortality, dressing percentage and cholesterol content in meat was found. In copper-fed rabbits, only very small increase of copper in meat was observed. On the other hand, the Cu concentration in liver was as high as 299 mg/kg in treated groups. Feeding of Cu-free feed to these rabbits for 5 days decreased hepatic Cu only to a small extent. The oxidation stability of meat (measured by means of the thiobarbiturate test) in rabits receiving vitamin E was significantly improved. Less Eimeria oocysts facces of Cu-fed rabbits than in controls was found.
