Hypobiosis of Trichostrongylus colubriformis larvae in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus f. domestica)
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The effect of artificial conditioning of infective stages of Trichostrongylus colubriformis and hosts were examined in this study with 44 rabbits. 10 groups of rabbits were infected with 750 and 3750 larvae of Trichostrongylus colubriformis and were killed 20 days later. Infective stages Trichostrongylus colubriformis were exposed for 4 weeks to decreasing photoperiod conditions, low temperatures (4°C), dehydratation or combination of the decreasing photoperiod conditions and low temperatures (4°C). Rabbits of groups 2, 3, 6, and 8 were exposed also for 4 weeks to decreasing photoperiod conditions. The intensity of hypobiosis varied from 0 to 88,33%. The most significant effect for the rise of hypobiosis of Trichostrongylus colubriformis in rabbits wasfound out at decreasing photoperiod conditions as through infective stages of Trichostrongylus colubriformis as through hosts (88,33%). Results showed that the exposure of infective stages of Trichostrongylus colubriformis to individual
