The influence of feeding technique on performance and economy in fattening pigs
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
70 hybrid pigs of the (LWs x BL) genotype were divided into three groups and the impacts of feeding technique and quality of feed mixture on fattening capacity, slaughter value, and their production economy were compared. The first group of pigs was ad-libitum fed with the mixture richest in nutrients. The second and the third groups were subject to semi ad-libitum feeding at a higher/lower nutrient level. The maximal genotype production efficiency manifested itself in the ad-libitum fed group when thatgroup (1) clearly reached the highest growth intensity in comparison with other groups (827 vs. 768 (P?0,05) or 730g/day (P?0,01)) with demonstratively higher (P?0,01 daily feed intake (2.47 vs. 2.29 kg). The impact of feeding technique and quality of feed mixture on the meatiness of individual groups was not proven. In terms of economic analyses, the semi ad-libitum feeding technique based on leaner feed mixtures seems to be the most convenient technique.
