Interaction between housing system and genotype in relation to internal and external egg quality parameters
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The effect of housing systems (conventional, enriched cages and litter) on egg quality parameters of brown laying strains(ISA Brown,Hisex Brown,Bovans Brown and Moravia BSL) was evaluated. In total,7200 eggs in two experiments, produced over 40 weeks of lay were analyzed for egg weight, egg components weight and egg shell quality indicators. In 60 eggs, pore density in the small, large and equatorial areas was determined.Significant interactions of genotype and housing were found in egg weight, yolk and albumen weight and yolk colour.Haugh units were highest in eggs laid in cages and lowest in the ISA Brown strain.Eggshell quality indicators were affected more by genotype than by housing. The interaction between genotype and housing was not significant for egg shell thickness but significant for egg shell weight and strength.Although egg shell thickness was lower in eggs produced in cages, egg shell strength was higher.A significant negative correlation was found between pore density and
