Introducing a Practical Calculation Program for Designing Pipe Heat Exchangers That Can Be Used for Heating Animal Houses
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The energy content of feed is partly transformed into heat by the animal´s metabolism, thus a primary heat source is available in every animal house. Wih low outside temperature, the animal´s heat production won´t meet the heat losses through the structures and from ventilation; so artificial heating will be required. The necessary heat capacity can be provided by using heat exchangers in the animal house. Heat exchangers transfer heat between two or more streams of fluid that flow through the apparatus. They have been used in animal houses as a heating source in recent years, since they reduce heating cost and indoor air contamination in the house. In this study, the design parameters of pipe head exchangers, which can be used for the heating of animal houses, are examined and a calculation for designing pipe heat exchangers is developed in the program Microsoft Excel. The aim of this article is to provide practicalsolutions for designers of heat exchangers and for farmers.
