In this article are shown data about the sort and multitude of the forest-road network in the Czech Republic. In the forest of the Czech Republic are cca 160.000 km of the forest-road network, from this cca 36 500 km are forest transport roads, which represent the base of the forest-road network and they are yearly or seasonally exploited for the transport of the wood with the main forest transport. The processes exercised between the transport-research for the forest-road and the categorization of theforest-road in accordance with ČSN 73 6108 is not fully compatible. The forest-road network generates the difficulties by the objective evaluation and comparison of the access to forest and complex of woods
