The paper refers about development of human resources in the forestry in the Czech republic. In the paper are analysed available statistical data about numbers of forestry school leavers of different levels of forestry education in the last ten years. This statistical data are compared with the long-term trend of employment in forestry before the year 1990 and the total number of employees in forestry after 1990. Also an overview of different types of forestry educational institutions existing in the Czech Republic is discussed.
