Coriolis and thermal mass flowmeters can be profitably used for accurate and smooth dosage of gases and liquids. A Dutch company Bronkhorst High-Tech belongs to the renowned manufacturers of mass flowmeters. This chapter describes a few applications of mass flowmeters for the dosage of gases and liquids in certain chemical and food industrial plants. These branches, including biotechnological and pharmaceutical productions comprise many processes in which accurate measurement and metering of various gases and liquids are necessary. Typical examples include aeration of liquids, dosage of ingredients (flavours, colours, antioxidants, vitamins, aromatic substances, etc.), fermentation process control, pH adjustment and so on. There are described: accurate measurement of gas quantity and its dosage into chemical reactors, aeration of ice cream, dosing gases into bioreactors and dosing of flavours, fragrances or other additives.
