The KRECon 2025 conference was organized by the NTK under the auspices of the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek. Its theme was Cutting-Edge Research: Challenges and Opportunities. The aim of the conference was to reflect on the current debate regarding the funding of excellence in the Czech Republic and to clarify its fundamental issues and challenges. Drawing on specific examples from the experiences of researchers and organizations, the conference highlighted its manifestations, conditions, and challenges, including within an international context.
