The distributions of the transitional intermittency factor are determined from the measurement of the mean velocity derivative very closely to the flat plate covered by sand papers with different grits. The roughness Reynolds numbers (defined with the corresponding length of the sand-grain type roughness) of the investigating plates gain the values k+ = 4.6, 5.7 and 8.7.
