We are particularly interested in the following questions/issues: ? What was the role of political, cultural, educational, and economic urban elites in the cultural development of the Central European towns and cities? ? What was the motivation, and whowere the actors behind the instrumental use of cultural events as one of the way of emancipation of nationalities on the local levels of urban societies? ? Overcoming the old and constructing the new barriers in urban society. ? Manifestations of the interactions of cultures in the urban public space.
