This article focuses on the psychological contexts of subjective health among teachers in relation to their perception and evaluation of work-related stress in the teaching profession. The research was carried out on a sample of teachers from Czech and Slovak primary schools (.N=2501) during 2009 - 2011 using subjective perception methodology. The aim of the article is to consider the connections between subjective evaluation of stress and health among teachers, and between subjective and objective indicators of individuals? state of health. The results indicate that there exist negative and statistically significant (1% level) but weak (lower than -0.2) correlations between perceptions of work-related stress and subjective health.
