L’ouvrage traite de la variation des termes dans le français contemporain. Il s’occupe des variations subies par le terme particulièrement aux niveaux diatopique, diachronique et diastratique. Il signale également la variation terminologique au niveau du concept qui entraîne la polysémie des termes. La publication souligne les relations existant entre le lexique spécialisé et le lexique non spécialisé. Finalement, elle vise à examiner l’emploi du terme dans le contexte, avec une orientation particulière sur l’analyse du processus de déterminologisation dans des textes journalistiques à l'exemple de la terminologie de bioéthique.

This book deals with the variability of terms in contemporary French. It details the varieties of the term, especially at the diatopic, diachronic and diastratic levels. The fact that there is no strictly defined boundary between the term and non-terminological naming is also reflected in the mutual transition of these lexical units from professional to non-professional communication. This publication therefore deals with the position of the term in context, with a special focus on the analysis of the process of determinologization in journalistic texts on the example of bioethics terminology.
