This article presents an analysis of the use of tubular light guides, which offer an alternative solution for providing daylight in spaces where sufficient daylight levels cannot be achieved by standard means—namely, through windows. A suitable area for the application of tubular light guides is work environments. Specifically, a model office room was selected in which the existing conditions did not meet the required daylighting standards according to current regulations. Using simulation software, several model variants were created, incorporating light guides with different parameters and properties. The research focused primarily on the influence of material characteristics on lighting efficiency. Based on the results, changes in the daylight levels within the workspace were evaluated and the effectiveness of each variant was compared. Finally, the results of all design variants were compared and the influence of individual parameters was assessed.
