When modelling physical problems, one can deal with so called multiscale problems, where one scale of physical reality is well separated but is part of another scale (or more scales) and these influence each other. As multiscale problems we consider analyses of materials consisting of more phases (e.g. composites), polycrystals etc. The article summarizes chosen basic contributions and methods of this field of mechanics applicable to solving the problems and performing the numerical analyses of woven materials.
