In the Czech Republic labour market analyses and prognoses on the macroeconomical level and on the level of districts have already been made standardly for a long time. Spatial analyses of factors acting on the labour market for the area smaller than a district (i.e. for microregions, municipalities and their parts) are done merely partly. To understand better the processes and their consequences in small areas and utilise not only the unemployment rate, it is suitable to consider these labour markets more comprehensively and take many factors affecting job offer, job demand and also influences of the surrounding environment into account. The multivariate and the multicriteria evaluation of the labour market in chosen areas of the Moravian-Silesian Region were made. The factor analysis of indicators for the situation in unemployment determined the main factors for the selected area, namely the youth factor, long-term unemployment and low education.
