The article deals with information support for com-plex (strategic) management of coal sale in relation to ensuring maximum extraction efficiency. It describes the current state analysis of coal sales management in the company OKD a.s. and the existing information support of operational sales manage-ment. In the area of operational management, the information support of sales management in the company OKD is successful-ly used at all control levels. The article presents a proposal of ex-tension to the existing systems so as to allow sales planning at the strategic level. The article also discusses an analysis of the relationship of sales management with the development of coal mining and employment in the company OKD.
