The paper deals with the issue of investment results put into IS/IT in companies and institutions while taking into consideration preparation of the process of benefit management of that investment and its break up. Additionally, it explains possibilities of targeted benefit management to support strategic decision on the investment volume allocated for IS/IT development and strategic decision on global IS quality in the company of concern. Moreover, benefit management enables the company or institutionmanagement to balance IS/IT cost and benefit in a specific situation and in relation to the global company policy.
