Research of the convergence of unemployment rate of university graduates in the Czech Republic

The article is concerned with modeling and assessment of the process of convergence of the unemployment rate of the graduates of Bachelor?s and Master?s Degree study programs at the Faculties of Economics in the Czech Republic within the period of 2002 ?2012. The unemployment rate of university graduates is the ratio of the number of unemployed graduates to the difference between the total number of the graduates and the number of the graduates who continue studying at university. The theoretical concept of convergence is based on the absolute (unconditional) respectively relative (conditional) form and the method of beta convergence is used within the article. The paper empirically estimates the panel model by the means of the pooled least squares method with fixed overview effects for the Bachelor?s and Master?s degrees of studies separately. The results show that there are vast differences in the employment of graduates on the labor market especially after the completion of the Bac
