Rich-media describes a broad range of digital interactive media that is increasingly used in the support of education. A long term key objective of the MERLINGO project (MEdia-rich Repository of LearnING Objects) at the applying rich-media technologies is the development and practical use of methodologies for the automated production and publication of recordings of presentations on-line or on-demand. One of the significant outputs in this area was also the building and opening of the specialized lecture room equipped with the automated conference system that is synchronized with the rotating cameras and other audio-visual components. It contains all the elements of the modern lecture room determined for the implementation of presentation recordings based on the rich-media technologies and their publication on-line or on-demand including automatic editing.
