In post-Lisbon era, the European Union is undergoing a period when the number of countries pushing their interest in cooperation on the basis of a functioning internal market, while other member countries shall endeavour to complete a full economic union, through which would minimize the risk of financial instability. The new economic governance must reflect the different consequences of the economic crisis in member countries. Europe&apos;s future must lie in a pluralistic institutional arrangements, in which the different ideas about the future of European integration found its specific form. The existing governance, particularly the European Semester must pass the necessary renovations.
