Experiences with remote working among civil servants in the Czech Republic and their attitude toward its use in the future
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The use of remote working was one of the biggest changes in the labour market not only in the Czech Republic, which was started by the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this article is to map the experiences of civil servants in the Czech Republic with this type of work, the extent to which they used remote working during the pandemic, and how it affected their experiences. Last but not least, employees' attitudes toward the use of remote working in the future were investigated. The views of the civil servants were sought through a questionnaire survey. Descriptive statistics and the comparison method were used to evaluate the responses of the respondents. The conclusions of the article summarize the most common positives and negatives of remote working as perceived by employees, their experiences with using this type of work during the pandemic, and their requirements for the use of remote working in the future. Within the focus group, it can be concluded that civil servants positively evaluated the possibility of remote working and that a large number of employees would like to use remote working in the future, mostly in combination with office work.
