Sustainable refining of amino acids and bones grafts by using extraction by supercritical CO2 with/without modifier and pressurized hot water
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of this work is to study the effect of process conditions on the quality and quantity of yielded natural substances. The effect of pressure, temperature, the addition of co-solvent (water) to scCO2 and extraction by pressurized hot ethanol was investigated on aminoacids yields distribution and the quality of solid bone residue (bone grafts) by using high-pressure liquid chromathography with MS detection, thermogravimetric analysis, organic elementary analysis and nitrogen physisorption at 77K. SubH2O extraction and scCO2 extraction (without and with co-solvent) are environmentally friendly and sustainable ways of extracting valuable natural compounds from waste secondary animal products e.g. for the food, nutrition and cosmetic industry. Extraction by scCO2 with the addition of small amounts of water could offer an alternative way to effectively treat bone grafts for orthopedic practice, bringing the properties of bone grafts closer to tricalcium phosphate-based composite materials, a step in sterilization.
