Utilization of theoretical approach in carbon engineering
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This contribution was presented as an invited oral ´Chair Talk´ at the International Conference on Carbon Science and Technology; from discovery to applications organized in Prague in the term of 10.-12.11.2025. Porous carbon produced from various waste materials using pyrolysis is a very useful material for removal/adsorption of different pollutants from waste air and water or soil remediation. But, its properties such as the size of surface area, micropores, mesopores and macropores-size distribution, surface functional groups, the rate of graphitization, the present inorganic ions in its porous structure/on its surface significantly affect carbon performance in individual applications. Thus, the targeted synthesis of carbon is highly required. In our study we presented how valuable may be the using of force field-based molecular modelling in design of porous carbon for gaseous pollutants reduction.
