HEAppE Middleware is application framework with a custom implementation of HPC-as-a-Service paradigm. HEAppE manages and provides information about submitted and running jobs and their data between the client application and the HPC infrastructure.HyperQueue is a tool designed to simplify execution of large workflows (task graphs) on HPC clusters. It allows users to execute a large number of tasks in a simple way, without having to manually submit jobs into batch schedulers like Slurm or PBS. Users just specify what they want to compute - HyperQueue will automatically ask for computational resources and dynamically load-balance tasks across all allocated nodes and cores. HyperQueue can also work without Slurm/PBS as a general task executor.To fully utilize both of those tools the HyperQueue extension for HEAppE was created. This enables HEAppE users to utilize HyperQueue inner-job scheduling capabilities on the same level as other supported workload managers (Slurm, PBS).
