Biosimilar infliximab is the first biologically similar medicine to be directly used in dermatological practice. Since the efficacy and safety of the product was only established in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylarthritis, no clinical data in other indications are available. In the European Union in dermatology, based on the approval of the European Medicines Agency concerning data extrapolation to the other indications of the original infliximab, biosimilar infliximab may also be used for the treatment of severe forms of psoriasis. This report brings our first experience with the therapy of psoriasis using biosimilar infliximab in four patients.
