"Regioanle Literatur" wird oft als ein in sich widersprüchliches Phänomen aufgefasst, das versucht, sich in einem Spannungsfeld zwischen ideologischen (Alt)Lasten und theoretischer Innovation zu positionieren. Die Forschung zur regionalen Literatur versucht, sowohl diese (Alt)Lasten zu überwinden als auch die oft einseitigen und z.T. veralteten theoretischen Ansätze innerhalb des Forschungsfeldes durch neue Methoden und Theorien zu bereichern. Der Beitrag stellt einige der zentralen Ansätze vor, durch die dies erreicht werden kann.

The regional literature is usually seen as a contradictory phenomenon, which attempts to position itself in the field of tension between ideological burdens and theoretical innovation. While eliminating "old burdens", the research on regional literaturetries on the one hand to overcome its (often dubious) past and on the other hand to counteract the monotony of methodological approaches to the regional research field. Different ways to achieve these goals are discussed in this paper.
