The collective monograph Gender Stereotypes in Walt Disney Animation: Ideology, Queer, Discursive Analysis contains a collection of papers from students and pedagogues of the Department of Theatre, Film and Media, Palacky? University, Olomouc. The main starting point of the publication is the hypothesis that Disney's animated series and films, which have not been studied in such detail within Czech film studies so far, reflect social contexts and social relationships as well as the unequal gender structure which is spread by means of explicitly and implicitly expressed gender stereotypes.
