Anhand eines Vergleichs zwischen dem mährischen Sänger Max Brod und dem Prager Schriftsteller gleichen Namens sowie einer Darstellung des schlesischen Schauspielers Rudolf Rittner hinterfragt der Beitrag bisherige Zuschreibungen der kulturellen Verflechtungen zwischen Wien und den Böhmischen Ländern. Es wird argumentiert, dass die traditionellen homogenen Thesen mittels neuen Materials auf kulturelle (postkoloniale) Austauschprozesse untersucht werden.

Based on a comparison between the Moravian singer Max Brod and the Prague writer of the same name, and not least the Silesian actor Rudolf Rittner, the article puts into question previous attributions of the cultural ties between Vienna and the Bohemian countries. The article argues for using new material to doubt traditional homogeneous theses and to analyze the cultural (post-colonial) exchange processes between Vienna and the region of Bohemian lands.
