Autor befasst sich im Artikel mit dem Bibelvers Verbvm domini manet in aeternvm (Das Wort des Herrn bleibt in Ewigkeit), der zum erstenmal im Jahre 1522 am Hof des sächsischen Kurfürsten Friedrichs des Weisen auf Münzen und Gewändern verwendet wurde. Martin Luther schrieb zehn Jahre später, dass dieser Vers &quot;an allen Wänden&quot; geschreiben sein sollte. Autor erforscht im Artikel niederösterreichische und mährische Bauten des 16. Jahrhunderts, an den sich die Devise Verbvm domini manet in aeternvm befindet. Weiter wird erforscht, wie die Verwendung dieser Devise zur Konfessionalisierung der Architektur beigetragen hat.

The author deals in the article with the biblical verse Verbvm domini manet in aeternvm (The Word of the Lord endures for ever), that was used for the first time in 1522 as the device of Protestants on coins and clothing at the court of the Saxon Elector Frederick the Wise. Martin Luther expressed ten years later the wish, so that this verse should be written &quot;on all the walls&quot;. Author analyzes buildings of Lower Austria and Moravia in the 16th century, on which the device Verbvm domini manet in aeternvm is present. Author analyzes, how the use of this device contributed to the confessionalisation of the architecture.
