A workshop on learning outcomes in tertiary education aims to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning by focusing on the development, alignment, and assessment of learning outcomes. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what learning outcomes are, their importance in defining the knowledge, skills, and competencies students should acquire, and how they differ from objectives. The workshop will guide educators in creating measurable and achievable outcomes that align with curriculum design, teaching strategies, and institutional goals. It will also focus on developing appropriate assessment methods to evaluate student achievement effectively while ensuring alignment with accreditation and quality assurance standards. Additionally, the workshop promotes collaboration among participants, enabling them to share best practices and address challenges in implementing learning outcomes. By the end of the session, educators will be better equipped to design student-centered programs that foster meaningful learning experiences and prepare learners for future success.
