The 6th Conference of the Young Koreanists took place on 14 February 2025 at Palacký University Olomouc. Organized by the Korean Section of the Department of Asian Studies in cooperation with the Prague Centre for Korean Studies and the Korea and the Eastern Bloc Institute, the event brought together early-career scholars working across various fields of Korean studies.The programme included four thematic panels featuring presentations on gender and labour in North Korea, the work of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission, representations of Korean comfort women, intercultural parenting, feminist film studies, character representation in Korean cinema, Korean linguistics, sijo poetry, Korean folktales, and nineteenth-century rites of passage. The conference also featured the announcement of the winners of the Korean Studies Essay Contest and concluded with a general discussion.
