Photographic Exhibition on Climate ChangeGallery of Karolinum26-28. June, 2025The photographic exhibition by Mozambican photojournalist Antonio Cossa offers a compelling visual testimony to the global impacts of climate change and its victims. Through striking photographs—from the aftermath of cyclones in Mozambique and the burning of plastic waste in African landfills, to images of coniferous forests in the Czech Republic devastated by acid rain—the author presents a sobering portrait of a planet in crisis. His work not only documents the consequences of environmental degradation across Africa and Europe, but also calls on each of us to recognise our ecological responsibility. With empathy and urgency, the exhibition invites reflection on the pressing need to act in defence of our shared home—the only one we have. The exhibition is a part of the European Conference on African Studies (Prague, 25-28 June, 2025). Main organiser: Palacky University Olomouc, main partner Camoes Portuguese center in Prague
