The book presents an original approach to solution-focused coaching both in theory and practical application. The book is divided into chapters by a simple model that the authors have created on the basis of examining their own way of work while using Keeney's method of "recursive frame analysis" (RFA). In addition to the chapters corresponding to focusing and reflecting (1st and 2nd chapters), the material is devoted to techniques aimed at joining the client (3rd chapter), developing solutions (4th chapter) and "dancing around the problem" (5th chapter). This book has several objectives: . To present a coherent, inventive text for the first time in the Czech language, which examines the issue in great detail especially because there is a growing number of people who are engaged in a solution-focused approach and its application in coaching. . To provide readers with the authors' own synthesis, with obvious (and carefully quoted) inspirational influences, with inventive thoughts as well as with the ideas of the authors themselves rather than present a summary of solution-focused coaching methodology. . To refer to a large amount of psychological research, which is an integral part of this synthesis. These references are usually not included in the available literature on solution-focused coaching. The intention is to show the interconnection between the relatively young field of coaching with much older areas of psychological research, and to use the research findings for a deeper reflection on the coaching practice. . To present numerous practical examples, mostly in the form of real consultation transcripts. The aim of these examples is to demonstrate practically what has been described theoretically. These consultations are also briefly commented. Two complementary methods of conversational analysis are primarily used - "microanalysis of communication" and the aforementioned RFA.
