Das Kapitel stellt eine einleitende Studie zu dem Band Amt und Ordination und Kirchenrecht im Grund und Gegenstand des Glaubens dar, der die Ergebnisse einer langjährigen Forschung einer internationalen theologischen Arbeitsgruppe publiziert. Diese Gruppe wurde im Jahr 2001 gegründet und widmete sich dem ökumenischen Vergleich der römisch-katholischen und evangelisch-lutherischen Theologie. Im Mittelpunkt der Publikation stehen dabei die Fragen des kirchlichen Amtes (Amt), der Ordination (Ordination) sowie des Kirchenrechts (Kirchenrecht). Die einleitende Studie präsentiert nicht nur die Ergebnisse dieser langfristigen Forschung, sondern erläutert zugleich theologisch die hermeneutischen und methodologischen Prinzipien, die für die Arbeit der Gruppe konstitutiv sind. Die Autoren analysieren detailliert die Methodik der vergleichenden Theologie und unterstreichen die Bedeutung eines systematischen Ansatzes zur Interpretation theologischer Texte beider Traditionen. Zudem bietet der Text eine Einführung in die thematische Komplexität der Untersuchung. The chapter presents an introductory study to the volume Amt und Ordination und Kirchenrecht im Grund und Gegenstand des Glaubens, which publishes the results of many years of research conducted by an international theological working group.
