Stimulation to the physical activity of preschool children
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Children who are stimulated by physical activity, have a more stimulating toys and utensils will be more physically active not only at home but also in kindergarten. Inappropriate exercise regimen in kindergarten can contribute to the incidence of higher BMI in preschool children. The aim of the research is to analyze the relation between a level of physical activity of preschool children and conditions applicable to physical activity at kindergarten. The research sample consisted of 200 children (96 girls, 104 boys) with an average age of 5.71+-0.27 years. Pearson's correlating coefficient (rp) was used to find out the dependence between monitored physical activities indexes and environmental stimuli to physical activities. Student's test was applied for the evaluation of the measure of interdependence values which were reached in these monitored parameters between girls and boys at kindergarten. The same conclusions resulting from the level of correlation coefficient and degree of dependence between physical stimuli and spatial stimulation at home. Interesting is the close relationship between physical stimulation of the child to physical activity and education of the mother. Mother's education and also father's education is related to higher child's participation in children's sport organisations. We assume that some pressure on school management in the direction of improving the material and spatial conditions for physical activity could lead to an increase children's interest in physical aktivity.
