The third wave of cbt in addictology: 5 ways to wellbeing
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of this paper is to present the Five Ways to Wellbeing method. This original Anglo-Saxon concept in applied the Czech Republic as part of therapeutic interventions for persons with addictions. The experience with this method is described in the qualitative analysis. The ultimate question is whether the Five Ways to Wellbeing method is applicable in the Czech Republic. What are the specifics and whether they are consistent with the conventional methods and procedures used in the target group. Another aim will be to describe the emotions, motivations, attitudes, perceptions and subsequent behaviour of the respondents (clients with addiction), who are subject to the method and perform the required tasks. The research group of respondents was recruited from the basic population of persons with addiction based on an institutional deliberate choice. The data collection method used was the semi-structured interview. The results of the survey suggest a positive experience of the customers with this method. The respondents perceive it as something that enriches their lives and helps them to maintain abstinence. The fundamental concept is the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is successful in the treatment of addiction. In the discussion section the new data are compared with the data obtained last year; the progress concerning this therapeutic method is monitored. The research published in this paper is dedicated to the following project: Student Grant Competition, Palacký University in Olomouc: Research on inclusion of persons with special needs (IGA_PdF_2017_008).
