The paper aims to present the process of preparation of the upcoming audio CD entitled &quot;Tribute to George Gershwin &amp; String Quartet&quot; by the author of this conference paper, Petr Vrána (*1976). This CD is to be the main expected output of an individual grant project entitled &quot;Realization of studio audio recordings of four sheet music editions by Petr Vrána published by Universal Edition (Vienna, Austria) in 2021&quot;, Reg. No. DSGC-2021 -0031. with its support an audio CD is currently being created. This contribution also serves as one of the planned educational / research activities of the grant project conducted abroad. Therefore, the set goals, expected and ongoing results of this grant project solved at Palacký University Olomouc (in Czech Republic) are also mentioned here. Furthermore, it is information concerning the musical and information content of the prepared CD, the implementation team, the implementation background and the date of its expected release. The paper also specifies the potential artistic significance and possible educational impact of the CD recording in the fields of performing arts and music education.
