The evaluation of the state and function of the supporting movement system is current with a view to the growing number of children who already have incorrect posture and deformations in the area of the limbs and feet in their first few school years. Students from the first year majoring in the fields of physical education and recreology Faculty of Physical Culture of Palacky University in Olomouc in the year 2001 were observed. A range of antropometric and kinesiologic research is focussed on: typology, analysis of the functional state of the movement apparatus, morphology and the functional state of the foot on the basis of podographic methods The lowest frequency of shortened muscles and muscle groups was found in the markedly statistically exponated area of the upper part of the trunk, of the hip joint, of the erector of the trunk A high degree of hypermobility, as we expected, is found in women. The state of the lengthwise vault was satisfactory, flat feet appeared only in isolate
