Název v původním jazyce
Comparison of the effect of the hold-relax technique in the midrange and final position of the hip flexion-adduction-external rotation pattern of PNF
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Aim: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of the hold-relax technique performed in midrange and final position of the diagonal of the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and to recommend the more effective position for use in practice. Methodology: The research was performed on 2 groups, each with 20 healthy people at the age of 17-26, who had at least on one lower extremity a range of flexion of hip joint lesser than 80°. The technique was performed on the lower limb in the hip flexion-abduction-internal rotation pattern. The effect on the range of hip joint flexion, on the root mean square (RMS) parameter of the electromyographic activity of semimembranosus, semitendinosus and vastus medialis muscles and on the number of "reflex changes" in the hamstring muscles were observed. The palpation findings such as "trigger point", "tender point" and "taut band" were distinguished. Results: The range of hip flexion in the treated leg was increased statistica
