This paper talks about regional development of physical culture which is seen as a dynamic system of values creating and influencing the way of thinking and behavior of administrators managing professional as well as amateur and physical education ("sport for all") activities and sport-based recreation. The authors describe new features characterizing the approach of administrators with respect to strategic management of territorial units, based on selected factors of the development of physical cultureand taking into consideration the possibilities of consequent pro-growth stimulation of the region. This approach also takes into consideration recent findings in the field of life-style management.
