An important negative feature of the life style of the present generation is reduced motor activity and the general hypokinetic routine, which is first seen already in pupils of elementary schools and tends to increase with advancing age (Frömel, Novosad, Svozil, 1999; Shephard, 1997). Its negative effect on health, social and economic conditions makes it desirable to make the pupils more aware of the importance of motor activity for the quality of man's life (Frömel, Novosad, Svozil, 1999; Sallis, Owen, 1998).
