Nowadays tourism is becoming not only an inseparable part of people's lifestyle and needs but it is also a more and more important and indispensable feature of the Czech economic system. It is a multilateral branch of the national economy that in many respects brings a remarkable added value to our society. Its contributions as an important economic branch can be seen in macroeconomic financial and monetary relations, in the economics of many business branches connected with tourism as well as in creating new job positions even in the regions that are problematic from the point of employment. Today it is extraordinarily difficult to keep the position on tourism market when the competition of European and overseas destinations is still growing stronger.Nowadays the differences between individual countries and regions are disappearing and other factors, such as the image that creates "the label of a destination" are becoming the main competitive powers.
