Tertiary education graduates are among the so-called vulnerable groups in the labor market. The aim of paper was to assess current factors affecting employ-ability of tertiary education graduates in Czech Republic and Slovakia and compare the results incontext of local labour market. Primary data obtained based on electronic questionnaire, sent to graduates' organizations of various universities in the Czech and Slovak Republics were processed by software Statistica and the evaluation of selected factors were carried out based on Pearson's chi-square test. The results show the coherence between examined factors and the length of time finding a first job and first job starting salary for Czech and Slovak republic concurrently. The discussion and conclusion pro-vides proposals for recommendations of improvement approach to penetration of tertiary education graduates to labour market.
