The evaluation was made of 70-years old trees whose height and trunk diameters were measured at 1.3 m. In 1999, cones were taken from 10 trees - the fertile specimens growing in the area of the Řícmanice arboretum. Pursuant to the Czech National StandartČSN 481211, the quality of fruits (cones) and seeds in these samples was tested in terms of the cones length, width, weight, absolute weight of 1000 seeds and germination. There were 30 cones assessed from each tree. The obtained resultscan be evaluatedas positive since the seed germination capacity was over 10% which makes it possible to secure the generative reproduction of the naturalized individuals, i.e. the production of germinating seeds needed for the forestry and horticultural purposes in theCzech Republic.
