Forest road network formation and optimization and its effects on runoff conditions and minimization of erosion damages
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
It is impossible to develop a forest road network ( FRN ) only unilaterally, in the traditional and mono-functional mission of forestry when the forest is understood only with the priority of its wood-producing function, i.e. a wood-producing resource and its opening-up through the FRN is regulated and evaluated exclusively by technical and economic criteria. Objective of forest assessing is to attain such a condition of the optimized FRN when the forest is provided with access roads fully correspondingto the requirements of forest management and at the same time minimizing damage to forest ecosystems and their social functions. The basic and primary task in the proposal of a new route At present, however, the problem appears of minimizing damages caused by forest road construction and timber haulage. The road network shows largely negative effects on the water- management role of the forest.
