The poster presents the expected goal of the research project TH02010115 "Hybrid Drive Chassis Tractor Set for the Transport of Wood", which is developed in the years 2017 - 2020. Te main goal of the project is the construction of a hybrid tractor set power. Power peaks occur when moving the machine up / down on a slope or when working hard. With traditional design, engine power is rated at maximum power. In a hybrid concept, the diesel engine is rated for normal load. It works at an average load and speeds. Power peaks are covered by "reserve" and therefore, the machine does not require a high powerful engine. This, of course, results in fuel savings, lower emissions and noise. It is essential for the machine operator to have the required power at all times, which is positively reflected in the fluency of the job. The newly designed forward tractor set a gap that has arisen from the fact that the development and production of harvesting and transportation machines abroad focused mainly on heavier machines (over 12 tons) designed to concentrate thick lumber, which is predominantly found in toll stands and calamitous harvesting, that is, the trees of larger diameter and height.
