Metabolic disorders of calves in postpartum period
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The goal of this study was in terms of analysis of causes of calves disorders in farms of dairy cattle evaluate occurence of metabolic disorders in calves in postpartum period. The second goal was to perform correlation analysis between some parameters of colostral nutrition. The samples were taken at least from 5 calves in every 27 farm. In the samples were determined biochemical parameters whose have some relations to the quality of colostral nutrition and to the micromineral metabolism. We found highoccurence of metabolic disorders in calves connected with colostral nutrition and also high occurence of micromineral deficiencies. The significant correlation (p<0.01) was found between TP, G, Ig, GMT and A/G ratio. All these parameters are suitable for laboratory control of colostral nutrition of calves. The main causes of metabolic disorders, which were diagnosed were bad care, insufficient colostral nutrition and micromineral deficiencies of cows during pregnancy.
