The nasogastric tube (NGT) is commonly used for administering medications in ICU patients1. There are several guidelines concerning dosage form selection and administration methods2,3. However, many surveys suggest that clinical practice significantly differs from guidelines, and several common practices could interfere with appropriate medication delivery. The application of medication is accompanied with flushing of NGT before and after administration and therefore the volume of applied solution in multiple (two or more) medication is increased as well as the risk of NGT clogging. Thus, despite the recommendations, the nurses in practice do not administer multiple medication separately
