In the opinion of the Czech National Bank the Czech banking sector is stable and profitable. This stability and profitability was achieved also by higher bank fees, which are often criticized in the Czech Republic, and therefore there are projects developed to raise awareness on the bank fees and an overall overview of the fee policies of retail banks. One of these projects is the Calculator of bank fees (hereinafter as the Calculator). Analysis of data from the Calculator will monitor the average quarterly costs for current account management. These costs will then be compared with total revenues of bank fees and commissions, and the overall profitability of banks and their further prognosis will be evaluated.
